A sense of humor
I’d kill to have a sense of humor,
a sense to kill the senses,
a sense to give the senses sense:
a sense.
A past tense
among a crowd of molded gents.
A soul,
a livid need to keep a rolling thunder out at shore.
A sense,
to humor those who need conviction,
to fly on wings that need some hiding,
to feel a flock against my nature,
to block and crush a tide against my yearnings.
A sense…
just a bit of it to cry in madness
for the days I’ve lost in plights
I’ve not yet bothered to acknowledge.
